My Relatives

Wow, what a week. I was picked up by Tim and June who are just about the loveliest people a bear could ever meet. They have sent many bears (see my relatives page) of into the land of Geocaching. These people are very famous amongst us caching bears so I was on my best behaviour.

How was I to know that cupids arrow was going to strike me down in a place such as this? She was tall and blond and clever and charming and witty and married. Her name was Lucy, I knew I wanted her as soon as I met her but all she would talk about was her husband Christopher and his search for Gulliver. She seemed so strong, having been abandoned by her husband - all I know is that if she were my bird I wouldn't let her out of my sight.

As the week went on I fell for her more and more, her eyes were as shiny as the shiniest plastic, her smile would light up the whole room and she had a great chest. We talked and talked until the early hours I felt like I had met my soul mate (though failing that I would have settled for some horizontal dancing). All too soon I realised that the week would be up and I would be off to a new cache. I only had one chance at this so I asked her for a farewell dinner. She said yes!!!!!

Our Secluded dinner for two

We went to a nearby pasta restaurant that was a bit busy but I had booked a table in the corner with secluded lighting and everything (she's a top bit of totty and well worth the expense). The talk came easily and the champagne flowed as we shared a plate of spaghetti. Strangly enought we ended up sharing the same strand.

She was just so easy to love

Who could resist? Not me that's for sure.

I felt myself drawn closer and closer to her as I stared in to those beautiful eyes.

She seemed to move towards me......

I moved towards her.

We kissed. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Butterflies in the stomach and an overwhelming feeling of passion. I desired this woman, I had to be with her….Now.

Just a lovesick fool.

"Looks like we've got a spy in the camp Sheila" I Said

Suddenly we became aware that we were being watched - looks like Tim and June didn't trust us (what excellent judges of character they are)....

I slipped the waiter a fiver to distract our tail, and during the distraction we nipped out the back way to a cheery wave from the restaurant owner.

We made our exit...to the land of love

Whoops - got caught!

Alone at last we walked and talked (and other things not suitable for a family orientated website) till the early hours of the morning. I couldn't believe that I was so in love yet would be leaving the bear I loved the following morning.

We sneaked back in to the house only to be caught by our hosts who were not best pleased. Seems like I had outstayed my welcome and sure enough I was in a cache the following morning. Lucy said we couldn't be together as she was still married to her husband. Oh the pain in my heart.

They say that "it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all", but sometime when you count all those losses there's no profit at all.

After a few days moping in Travis in the New Forest I was picked up by Team Travis - unfortunatley I was just to miserable and heartbroken to have fun with them. So they dropped me off in "The Walls - the final Hurdle" where I cried my little heart out.
